Assistant HR Manager at Corendon Hotels & Resorts Curacao!

We are seeking a proactive and dedicated Assistant Human Resources Manager to support the HR department in delivering high-quality service within a dynamic hospitality environment. This role is responsible for assisting in the implementation of HR strategies, ensuring compliance with employment laws, supporting recruitment and employee relations, and maintaining a positive and productive workplace culture.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about people, have strong knowledge of HR functions within the hospitality sector, and demonstrate the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, service-driven setting.

  • Assist the Head of HR with the daily HR operations.

  • Ensure compliance with local labor laws and internal HR policies.

  • Handle employee inquiries, complaints, and conflict resolution in a professional and confidential manner.

  • Act as a liaison between HR and department managers to support workforce planning, resolve staff issues, and promote HR best practices.

  • Support departmental heads in disciplinary actions, and employee development discussions.

  • Guide the team with maintaining and updating employee records in the HRIS and ensure data accuracy.

  • Support payroll processing and benefits administration in coordination with payroll teams.

  • Prepare HR reports, metrics, and workforce analytics.

  • Participate in audits and ensure HR documentation is complete and compliant.

Job requirements

Job Requirements for Assistant HR Manager at Corendon Hotels & Resorts Curaçao

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Hospitality Management

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in an all-round HR position, preferably in the Hospitality Industry

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office such as Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Strong knowledge of labor laws and regulations

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work well in a team environment

  • Proven experience in recruitment and employee relations

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office such as Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Prior experience with AFAS and/or Nostradamus is a pre

  • Fluent in both English and Dutch spoken as well as written, Papiamentu and Spanish is a pre

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
