Corendon Hotels & Resorts Curaçao is looking for an HR Officer to join our Human Resources department. As an HR Officer you play a pivotal role in managing the human resources functions to support the hotel's objectives and ensure a positive work environment for our team members. You're responsible for various HR activities, including performing administrative tasks, managing employee files, co-manage the recruitment process and working on different HR projects in assistance and with collaboration of the HR Management. 


  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local labor laws and company policies. 
  • Co-Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and making hiring recommendations.
  • Administer employee onboarding and orientation programs, ensuring new hires have a smooth transition into their roles.
  • Maintain accurate employee records, including personal information, contracts, performance evaluations etc.
  • You are responsible, together with the HR Administrator, for HR-related documentation such as offer letters, contracts, employee changes etc.
  • Support managers in handling employee relations matters, including disciplinary actions, grievances, and conflict resolution.
  • Stay up to date with changes in labor laws and regulations, and ensure compliance across all HR practices.
  • Participate in employee engagement initiatives and organize social events to foster a positive work culture.

Job requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar HR role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Sound knowledge of local labor laws and regulations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent administrative, organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English, Dutch. Papiamentu is a plus.
