Job description

Your primary responsibility is to oversee the day-to-day operations of the resort to ensure that everything runs smoothly and efficiently. This includes managing staff, monitoring guest satisfaction, and coordinating with other departments to ensure that all guests have an enjoyable and memorable experience.


Specific duties and responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for hiring, training, and supervising resort staff. You will need to ensure that everyone is properly trained, motivated, and working together to provide excellent customer service.
  • You will need to regularly interact with guests to ensure that they are satisfied with their experience at the resort. This may involve conducting surveys, responding to complaints, and addressing any concerns that guests may have.
  • You will need to work closely with other departments within the resort, such as housekeeping, food and beverage, and activities, to ensure that all aspects of the resort are running smoothly and efficiently.
  • You will be responsible for cost control of operational departments, ensuring that expenses are kept within the pre-approved budget and that revenue is maximized.
  • You will be responsible for ensuring that the resort is in compliance with all health and safety regulations and that guests and staff are safe at all times.
  • You will need to develop and implement long-term strategies for the resort, such as improving guest satisfaction, increasing revenue, and expanding the resort's offerings.


Overall, the Operations Manager plays a critical role in ensuring that the resort runs smoothly, efficiently, and profitably while providing excellent customer service and a memorable experience for guests.

Job requirements


  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a managerial position within the hospitality industry.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse workforce.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in English, Dutch and Papiamentu languages.
  • Knowledge of local regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
