Commis - Kitchen Department
Corendon Mangrove Beach Resort is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Commis in the Kitchen Department. As a Commis, you will play a vital role in assisting our chefs in preparing and cooking delicious meals for our guests.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the chefs in preparing ingredients and cooking meals according to the established recipes and standards
- Ensure that all food items are stored properly and maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen area
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient operations
- Follow all health and safety regulations to provide a safe working environment
- Contribute to the overall success of the kitchen department by maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation
Job requirements
- Previous experience working as a Commis or in a similar role within a professional kitchen environment.
- Basic knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques
- Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Attention to detail and the ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects as required.
- Positive attitude and a passion for delivering high-quality food to our guests.
